Web design

INCLUDING LOGO DESIGN, CORPORATE IDENTITY DESIGN, WEB DESIGN, USER EXPERIENCE DESIGN, USER INTERFACE DESIGN

Starting with the perfect logo we’ll expand your brand into a full identity across all materials, collateral, and digital products. We design and build everything from simple WordPress websites to advanced custom websites.

The fact-finding first stage will help us get an overview of the business you intend to conduct on the site.

In collaboration with you, we will establish what work has already been done and what is still needed. Some clients already have a logo and brand guide, for instance, whereas some need one. We will strive to gain an understanding of its strength, viability, competitors and who its intended users are. We will share our findings with you.

A useful addition to our findings is the creation of “persona typing” of your ideal users. These help in a country with a diverse population like ours, where the needs and aspirations of someone from an entirely different cultural background might be relatively unknown to the client.

As we clarify how visitors will use your site, we need to start listing features it might need.

These might be product display, testimonials and payment gateway. After listing all the features, we can start ordering them, making a very basic map of the visitor’s voyage through your site.

Of course it’s important to know what kind of website you need, so we’ll establish this early on. Perhaps a simple WordPress website will do, or perhaps you need something more advanced such as a web app or mobile app.

With wireframes, you are zooming in on your features and roughly mocking them up.

It is important at this stage not to introduce any styling. As the term implies, wireframes represent only the structure of the design.

For example, your feature called “payment gateway” would become black-and-white sketch diagrams of the screens a customer would need to move through to pay. Once this is clarified, they can be linked by arrows into a flow map.

The designer can go to work mocking up what the design will actually look like in full colour.

In creating these mockups, the designer will build them up in schematic form, using brand colours to their maximum effect as a visual language backing up the verbal language of the user flow experience.

We will deliver a static visual prototype of the design for you to approve.

The prototypes can perform certain click-through actions which gives a sense of the user flow in the final product.

At this point, the designer will pass the baton to the developer.

The developer is committed to a pixel-perfect rendition of the design on a staging site. In order to ensure the design works as intended, the designer will stay in touch with the developer all the way through until the build is completed and the real site is launched.
